Catholic Charities Indianapolis Policy and Procedures Manual

The Policy and Procedure Manual is provided to all personnel as a guide to the Administration of policies as they apply to all Catholic Charities Indianapolis (CCI) full and part time employees, student interns, ongoing volunteers and independent contractors working on behalf of Catholic Charities Indianapolis.

Policies included or referenced in this manual are those which meet the following criteria.

  • The policy has a broad application within CCI and is not already applicable with the policies and practices of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis.
  • Policies require approval from the Executive Director of CCI and in some cases when related to governance issues, the approval of the Agency Council of CCI.
  • Policies adopted must fall under one of ten domains important to the administration, management or operations of CCI.  These include:

  3. Performance and Quality Improvement
  4. Financial Management
  5. Program Administration
  6. Risk Prevention and Management
  7. Administrative and Service Environment
  8. Client Rights
  9. Training and Supervision
  10. Behavior Support and Management

The Policy and Procedure Manual will be updated on a regular basis.  In general all polices are reviewed every two years. Service Line Directors and Program Directors are required to keep up to date policies and procedures relevant to their daily program operations.

The CCI Policy and Procedures are designed to further the following goals:

  • To provide a uniform system of administration throughout CCI.
  • To assist supervisors in the development of sound practices and procedures
  • To provide effective communication among personnel.
  • To ensure and clarify the rights of those we serve.
