The Archdiocese of Indianapolis is seeking a faith‑filled, mission‑driven Director of the Office of Young Adult & College Campus Ministry (YACCM). This strategic leadership role guides the Archdiocese’s ministry with young adults (ages 18–39) and college students, forming lifelong missionary disciples of Jesus Christ. The Director will steward the vision for young adult and campus ministry, oversee Indy Catholic, support parishes and campuses, and represent the Archdiocese in regional and national ministry networks.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Ministry Vision

  • Establish and champion the diocesan vision for young adult and campus ministry.
  • Oversee all annual programming, including Indy Catholic, ensuring alignment with mission, goals, and strategic priorities.
  • Build parish capacity to welcome and form young adults, accompanying pastors and parish leaders in this mission.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise, develop, and evaluate two direct reports (Event & Volunteer Coordinator and Butler University Campus Minister).
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard new staff when needed.
  • Set goals, monitor performance, and provide ongoing coaching.

Campus Ministry Oversight

  • Support ministry across 13 college campuses within the Archdiocese.
  • Lead the campus ministry steering committee to advance long‑term strategy.
  • Build relationships with campus ministers and chaplains and provide regular formation.
  • Serve as liaison to FOCUS, supporting missionaries, events, and collaborative initiatives.

Department Collaboration & Pastoral Support

  • Participate fully in the Department of Parish Leadership through meetings, formation events, and collaborative planning.
  • Maintain strong relationships with pastors and ministry leaders across the Archdiocese.
  • Advocate for young adults in coordination with other Archdiocesan offices.

Budget & Partnerships

  • Manage a $400,000 operating budget with strong financial stewardship.
  • Review spending, approve expenses, and prepare annual budgets.
  • Maintain partnerships with local businesses to support sponsorship revenue.

Representation & Mission Alignment

  • Represent the Archdiocese at local, regional, and national gatherings.
  • Live a committed Catholic spiritual life grounded in daily prayer, daily Mass, and frequent confession.

Qualifications

Required

  • Practicing Catholic in good standing who embraces and models the Church’s teachings.
  • Previous management experience, including recruiting, hiring, and developing staff.
  • Professional ministry experience in a parish or campus ministry setting.
  • Training from a pastoral or evangelical organization and/or a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Strong leadership, communication, public speaking, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, budgets, timelines, and strategic goals.
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to pass background check and complete child safety training.

Preferred

  • Project management experience.
  • Creative and mission‑aligned approach to evangelizing young adults.

Working Environment

  • Onsite at the Catholic Center, Monday–Thursday, with frequent evening and weekend commitments.
  • Regular travel within the Archdiocese; mileage reimbursed per policy.
  • Ability to assist with event setup and transport ministry supplies as needed.
