Kitchen Manager

Ss. Peter and Paul Cathedral is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Manager to lead the daily operations of the Cathedral Kitchen, a vital ministry of the parish that provides meals to those in need in downtown Indianapolis.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare meals and oversee all aspects of food preparation for the Cathedral Kitchen.
  • Coordinate and manage volunteers, ensuring efficient workflows and task completion.
  • Direct and maintain cleaning and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen.
  • Oversee the collection, receiving, inventory, sorting, storage, and distribution of food.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Collaborate with parish administration to develop and manage the kitchen’s budget.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in food preparation and management of a restaurant or commercial kitchen.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and move throughout the kitchen.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Effective communication skills with staff, volunteers, and vendors.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 2:00 PM
