Director of Quality and Risk Management, Catholic Charities Indianapolis

Catholic Charities Indianapolis is seeking a full-time Director of Quality and Risk Management to lead the coordination, development, implementation, and evaluation of performance improvement activities within the Secretariat for Catholic Charities. Reporting directly to the Executive Director of the Secretariat for Catholic Charities in the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, the Director will support the organization’s continuous improvement efforts while ensuring compliance with Council on Accreditation (COA) standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performance Quality Improvement (PQI): Oversee the development and implementation of PQI activities, including the framework, policies, processes, and practices, in alignment with COA and best-practice standards.
  • Training and Support: Provide orientation, training, and guidance to departments and programs on the PQI program, covering areas such as information management, service record reviews, data collection and analysis, and program evaluation.
  • Subject-Matter Expertise: Stay up-to-date on PQI and COA requirements, offering expertise and problem-solving support to departments and programs.
  • PQI Committee Leadership: Chair the agency’s PQI Committee, guiding the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Annual PQI Plan and other improvement initiatives.
  • Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data on service quality, operational performance, and service impact to inform evidence-based decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively communicate PQI findings to staff, clients, volunteers, and other stakeholders to encourage active engagement in the improvement process.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Qualified candidates will possess:

  • A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a graduate degree in a related field.
  • Experience in accreditation processes in preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a social or human services organization.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective facilitation and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of strategic planning, program goals, and service design.
  • Experience networking with social and human service agencies.
  • Detail-oriented and organized work style.
  • An open, team-oriented management approach.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with agency staff and community partners.
  • A commitment to professional growth and sharing expertise with colleagues.
  • Understanding of the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the service population.
  • Awareness of systemic advantages and marginalization and a strengths-based perspective toward vulnerable populations.
  • A willingness to support and advance the mission of Catholic Charities and the Catholic Church.
