St. Susanna Catholic Church, located in Plainfield, IN, is seeking a full-time parish secretary. The Parish Secretary plays a crucial role in supporting the administrative and clerical functions of the parish office, committees, and groups of the parish. This position serves as the primary point of contact for parishioners and visitors, providing clerical assistance, maintaining parish records, and assisting with various administrative tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the parish office.

Responsibilities:

  • Desire to work in hospitality by serving others in our parish and community
  • Completes daily assigned processes and procedures with maximum efficiency and confidentiality of information, in a neat and organized manner
  • Maintain Mass intentions calendar and mass stipend account
  • Maintain parish offering envelope system
  • Process newly registered parishioners into required computer systems and databases; update existing records as needed
  • Other duties as necessary to ensure the efficient functioning of the School/Parish/Ministries

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Organizational and administrative skills with high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and various software packages
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Self-motivated

Education, Training and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent. 1-3 years experience in an office setting preferred
  • Commitment to the Catholic faith and church teaching
