Operations Director

The Archdiocese of Indianapolis is seeking a Full-time Operations Director at A Caring Place Adult Services at 4609 N. Capitol Ave., Indianapolis IN 46208. This is an onsite role, Monday-Friday.

The Operations Director is responsible for ongoing site management of A Caring Place Adult Day Service under the direction of the Senior Service Line Director.  Coordinates and supervises programming activities.  Participates in evaluation, planning, and follow-up of participant care.  Assists in policy formation, program development, implementation, and grants.  Responsible for budgeting and securing additional funding for programming, including grant writing. This position will supervise RN, Transportation/drivers, Kitchen aide, Lead Participant Support, Interns, and Volunteers.

Essential Functions

  • Functions as the leader of a multidisciplinary team and oversees planning, implementing, and evaluating management strategies for the improvement of participant services.
  • Responsible for hiring, training, and development, termination, and performance evaluation of staff at ACP: RN, Activity Director, drivers, and kitchen assistants.
  • Recruit participants and build community relationships.
  • Prepare and Review the P-C Care Plans of the participants.
  • Plan and implement all acquired training for ACP staff including interns and volunteers.
  • Assists in budget preparation; monitors funding proposals, evaluation reports, and correspondence and assists in monitoring grants.
  • Proficient in Grant writing and monitoring grants.

  • Takes lead on all inquiries and follows up for admission to the program.
  • Performs other duties as deemed necessary for the successful operation of the program.

Education, Training and/or Experience

  • Master’s degree in human services or related area preferred.
  • Experience working in the geriatric field in a progressive supervisory position.
  • Successful grant writing/acceptance.
  • Working expertise in Person-Centered Care /Thinking
  • Experience in Program development.
  • Must be able to understand and comply with the Archdiocese of Indianapolis Code of Conduct
  • Must be able to successfully complete the Archdiocese of Indianapolis Child Safety Training
  • Background screening required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.

Working Environment

  • A Caring Place is the primary place
  • Occasionally work during early morning, evening or weekends
  • Sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and moving intermittently during the working hours.
  • Involved with participants, family/caregivers, visitors, etc., under all conditions and circumstances.
