The cost associated with serving homeless families annually continues to escalate, and financial assistance is vital to these families obtaining permanent housing and self-sufficiency.

What We Cannot Accept:
Household Items and Appliances: The families living at Holy Family Shelter do not need household items and appliances until they move out of the shelter. Our families are able to get these items through a wonderful partnership with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. If you are interested in donating appliances and household furnishings, please contact St. Vincent de Paul directly by calling (317) 687-1006 or viewing their website at https://www.svdpindy.org.
Out-of-Season Clothing: While we deeply appreciate the generosity, we are frequently given used clothing and toys. So much so that we often have more than we need and have to sort it, bag it, and get it to another needy organization. This requires an enormous amount of time and expense that takes us away from working directly with the homeless families in residence at the shelter. VOLUNTEER
Volunteers are an integral part of the services we provide at Holy Family Shelter. Volunteers assist with meeting resident basic needs, client services, meal preparations, child care, special events, facilities maintenance, and other activities that promote and support our families along the path to self-sufficiency.
