My Journey to God

You Be the One

You be the one, for I cannot.
You be the one to be what I’m not.
You be the one to live out this day,
For I am too weak to follow Your way.
You be the one to speak in my place,
For my words wound, but Yours impart grace.
You be the one to act in my stead,
To reach out my hand and see a soul fed.
You be the one to steer straight my thoughts,
Lest they veer from the Truth as they are wont.
You be the one to make my decisions,
So God’s will for me may come to fruition.
You be the one, for I simply cannot.
You be the one—You can, You’re God.
