St. Charles Borromeo parishioner Emelie Weil of Milan celebrated her 110th birthday on Nov. 20, 2009. During 11 decades, she has acquired skills in nursing, playing the piano, painting, tatting and basket weaving. At 110 years old, Emelie Weil says Catholic faith has sustained her through life

At 110, St. Charles Borromeo parishioner Emelie Weil of Milan has lived during the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries. She was born on Nov. 20, 1899, in northern Kentucky and has lived during 10 papacies and 20 presidencies. She said that her Catholic faith has sustained her through many difficult life challenges.
