My name is Andrew Cope. My family originally comes from St. Louis, although eight years ago we moved to Indiana leaving my brother and his wife back in St. Louis. I enjoyed high school, especially playing the violin in the orchestra and getting involved at Our Lady of the Greenwood parish. I went to Center Grove High School for four years and went immediately into college seminary from there.

I'm a convert, both in the sense that I was baptized around the age of thirteen into the Catholic Church, but also spiritually coming to realize the great wisdom and truth of the Church, although at a much later date. Throughout high school I spent a good portion of my time research spirituality of all types. At different times I identified with different religious movements and faiths more or less, but in the end found the Church to be the home of the full truth of God. Service has always been an integral part of my life, so as I found Christ I also found I felt called to serve him, and so my discernment began. Bishop Brute has been a wonderful part of that discernment for a year and a half now.

While prayer and liturgy is the core of my life at Bishop Brute, I like [to] enrich my experience in college with various hobbies and pursuits. So far I've taken up biking and painting, which I enjoy very much. I also spend time making friends around campus and enjoying the variety of experiences college life offers its students.
