Ignatian Spirituality Project and Our Lady of Fatima Retreat House

Fatima photoThe Ignatian Spirituality Project (ISP) is a Jesuit Ministry offering Spiritual Retreats with a multi-faceted approach in the effort to end homelessness:

  • ISP offers retreats inspired by Ignatian Spirituality to those who are homeless and seeking recovery
  • ISP forms teams with men and women who are homeless to conduct Ignatian retreats, offer witness and to provide spiritual companionship
  • ISP reaches out to new cities to build and form retreat teams to offer these programs
  • ISP collaborates with communities and agencies working to end the injustice of homelessness.

To date, ISP is connected with over 24 cities in the United States and Canada offering retreats for both men and women. Our Lady of Fatima became involved in planning and hosting ISP men's and women's retreats in 2013. The first women's day was held on April 29, 2014 and the first men's day on May 29, 2014. We are honored to be a part of this beautiful and much needed ministry offering the spiritual component that is lacking in most of the efforts directed in helping homeless men and women in recovery from addiction on their journey to recovery.

Fatima photoVolunteers and support are needed and appreciated!

We have had a tremendous response from our local community in support of ISP in Indianapolis and at Our Lady of Fatima. However, we are always in need of more volunteers and monetary support as well as your prayers!

How can you be involved?

There are many opportunities to support the men's and women's ISP retreats at Fatima. If any of these are of interest to you or if you want more information about volunteering, please contact Sr. Connie Kramer at ckramer@spsmw.org or (812) 239-4309

You are invited.....

All are invited to join retreat team members, Fatima staff, past ISP retreat participants and other men and women interested in the ISP ministry for these monthly gatherings. We will share prayer, information and talk about various topics relating to homelessness, addiction and various aspects of the ISP retreats.
We begin at 6:00 pm and conclude no later than 7:30 pm. Light snacks and beverages are served. There is no charge to attend. If you know you can join us ahead of time, please contact Sr. Connie at ckramer@spsmw.org or (812) 239-4309. We are building and strengthening a network of support and knowledge around these retreats which is important for all involved. We welcome anyone with an interest in the mission of ISP. 'For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,  not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.' ~Ephesians 2: 8-10
